Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is hiring a Surgical Technologist to join our scrub team. You will support patient care under RN supervision, participate in sterile procedures, and work closely with licensed staff to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a Surgical Technology program graduate, a GED or high school diploma, and a minimum of 3 years of related experience with BLS certification. This position is part of our dedicated surgical services team.

Qualifications

• Education includes a high school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from a surgical technology program is required.
• 3 years of certification as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent experience required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties with increased responsibilities in patient care.
• Collaborates with licensed staff and nursing to deliver care for multiple age groups.
• Maintains readiness and adheres to sterile technique under supervision.

Responsibilities

Performs necessary duties in scrub role. Takes on greater responsibility in providing patient care demonstrating a higher level critical thinking and problem solving skills. Functions in partnership with licensed staff. Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.
