Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Clayville, NY, is seeking an onsite manufacturing/maintenance worker for the 4th shift (Fri-Sun 7:00am–7:00pm). Responsibilities include processing super alloy per work instructions, operating hoists, PIVs, and main room machines, cleaning and reassembling equipment, and supporting continuous improvement and EH&S initiatives.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED; the role offers benefits and a blended work environment with potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Process super alloy within an environmentally controlled, isolated area per written work instructions.
• Perform basic hoist and rigging operations.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles (PIVs).
• Operate machines in the main room to work instruction standards (e.g., Scalper, classifier, sweco, rotex).
• Disassemble, clean and reassemble main room machines and containers to QC standards.
• Support continuous improvement and EH&S initiatives, including wearing PPE.
• Refer difficulties to Supervisor or Team Leader.
• May be assigned to additional tasks to support department objectives and skill development.
• Must be able to work overtime when required.
• This position is for 4th Shift Friday - Sunday 7:00am-7:00pm.

What You Will Do

• Process super alloy within the confines of an environmentally controlled, isolated area to the specifications of written work instructions overseen by S3 or above.
• Basic hoist and rigging operations
• Operate powered industrial vehicles (PIVs)
• Operate machines in the main room to work instruction standards (eg. Scalper, classifier, sweco, rotex)
• Disassemble, clean and reassemble main room machines and containers to QC standard (eg. Scalper, classifier, sweco, rotex, tote bins, storage bins, revert bins, clayville cans)
• Support the cell’s continuous improvement and all CORE and EH&S initiatives, including wearing required personal protective equipment
• Refer difficulties to Supervisor or Team Leader.
• May be assigned to tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills.
• Must be able to work overtime when required

The salary range for this role is $21.00/hr. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
