Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, located in Clayville, NY, is seeking an onsite CNC operator to run programs or operate Kasto saws with supervision. The role emphasizes safe work methods, producing parts, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The employee will work a 3x12 shift (Fri–Sun, 7:00am–7:00pm) with a strong emphasis on attendance, communication, and mechanical aptitude. Ascending stairs and lifting up to 25 lbs are part of the job requirements.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., GED) required.
• Strong attendance record.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Able to work hours outside the regular shift.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Able to wear a respirator.
• Physical requirements include stairs, standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proper work methods and procedures with use of tools and equipment.
• Run written CNC programs OR operate Kasto saws with minor supervision.
• Produce a number of uncomplicated parts that shows good faith in obtaining the desired production rate and quality.
• Perform walk around of machines.
• Support the cell’s continuous improvement and CORE/EH&S initiatives, including wearing PPE.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D. in the US)
• Must have a strong attendance record
• Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Must be able to work hours outside of the regular shift
• Must have good mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to wear a respirator
• The position requires ascending, descending stairs, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, twisting, overhead reach, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

The salary range for this role is $21.00 per hour. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
