Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Clayville, NY, is seeking an Onsite production/maintenance worker to operate main room machines and support continuous improvement efforts. You will follow written work instructions, perform hoist operations, and handle powered vehicles and equipment in a controlled environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and offers a 4x10 schedule: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm–12:00am, with standard RTX benefits and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) is required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process super alloy within an environmentally controlled, isolated area to written work instructions.
• Perform basic hoist and rigging operations.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles (PIVs).
• Operate machines in the main room to work instruction standards (eg. Scalper, classifier, sweco, rotex).
• Disassemble, clean and reassemble main room machines and containers to QC standard.
• Support the cell’s continuous improvement and all CORE and EH&S initiatives, including wearing required PPE.
• Refer difficulties to Supervisor or Team Leader.
• May be assigned to tasks not specifically listed to support department objectives and to develop skills.
• The schedule is Monday - Thursday (4x10) 2:00pm - 12:00am (7th shift).

What You Will Do:

• Basic hoist and rigging operations
• Operate powered industrial vehicles (PIVs)
• Operate machines in the main room to work instruction standards (eg. Scalper, classifier, sweco, rotex)
• Disassemble, clean and reassemble main room machines and containers to QC standard (eg. Scalper, classifier, sweco, rotex, tote bins, storage bins, revert bins, clayville cans)
• Support the cell’s continuous improvement and all CORE and EH&S initiatives, including wearing required personal protective equipment
• Refer difficulties to Supervisor or Team Leader.
• May be assigned to tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills.
• The position will work a schedule of Monday - Thursday (4x10) 2:00pm - 12:00am (7th shift).

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is $21.00 per hour. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
