Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. is seeking a Lead Person for surface operations in Lathrop, Missouri. The role oversees daily work assignments, enforces safety and production standards, and reports to management.

You will lead a team, ensure compliance with MSHA regulations, and coordinate heavy equipment operations in an outdoor mining environment. Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of related experience, a valid US driver’s license, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years related experience.
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of heavy mobile equipment and tools including their design, use, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and training to promote Guardian Angel culture.
• Establish and maintain effective communication within all areas of operation.
• Conduct regular inspections for safety, housekeeping and mechanical issues.
• Implement and apply safety rules, regulations and procedures of the mine.
• Complete daily production, safety and maintenance reports accurately.
• Supervise, coordinate, or schedule the activities of team members.
• Train workers in operation of equipment and safety procedures.
