Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking mechanically inclined individuals for a hands-on entry-level SMT manufacturing role. Training is provided, no prior electronics experience required, with opportunities to learn on the job.

You will operate and set up automated equipment, monitor production, and follow strict safety and quality standards in a fast-paced setting. Join a collaborative team and grow within a global leader in electronics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or related experience is a plus, but not required.
• No prior electronics manufacturing experience needed—training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated manufacturing equipment such as solder paste printers, reflow ovens, inspection tools, and other machinery used in the SMT process.
• Set up machines, load basic programs, and perform routine maintenance to keep production running.
• Monitor production flow and perform basic inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
• Assist in identifying and resolving simple equipment or process issues with guidance from senior technicians or engineers.
• Follow written instructions, diagrams, and SOPs to support accurate component placement and assembly.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Work with team to improve efficiency and processes over time.
• Follow all company safety and quality policies.

Job Description

Are you mechanically inclined or tech-savvy and looking to build a career in electronics manufacturing? We’re seeking motivated individuals with basic mechanical or machine aptitude who are eager to learn and grow with hands-on training—no prior SMT or electronics experience required!

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience / Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training, mechanical coursework, or related experience is a plus, but not required.
• No prior experience in electronics manufacturing needed—training provided for candidates with the right aptitude.
