Job summary

Mack Technologies in Melbourne, FL is seeking candidates for our SMT Operator Apprenticeship Program. Trainees will learn PCB assembly processes and procedures to support customer contracts. Selected candidates must be local to the Melbourne area and available for Monday–Friday: 1st shift 7:00am–3:30pm.

Training covers setup, operation, and maintenance of screen printers, glue machines, and SMT placement equipment. No prior experience is required beyond basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Familiarity with Shop Floor System is preferred.
• Strong organizational and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain SMT equipment for PCB assembly.
• Interface with machine hardware and software.
• Identify and report defective components.
• Inspect own work for accuracy and quality.
• Ensure products meet workmanship standards.
• Follow instructions and maintain data logs.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.

Summary

We are seeking candidates with some electronics and/or mechanical ability to join our new SMT Operator Apprenticeship Program. Selected candidates will have an opportunity to learn the Printed Circuit Board Assembly processes and procedures required to meet our customer contracts. Candidates must be local to the Melbourne, FL area and able to work Monday – Friday: 1st shift 7:00am – 3:30pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain screen printers, glue machines, reflow ovens, SMT placement machines, stencil cleaners, conveyors, and other equipment used in the assembly of Printed Circuit Boards.
• Interface with complex machine hardware and software.
• Identify and report defective components.
• Inspect own work to ensure accuracy and integrity of work performed.
• Ensure product meets established workmanship standards.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and maintain data logs.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the work area and surrounding workspace.
• Responsible for the accuracy of work-in-process.
• Participate in quality teams as required.

Qualifications
