Job summary

The Michigan Army National Guard is seeking a TITLE 32 Surface Maintenance Repairer. This position requires Army National Guard membership and is based at the Joint Forces Headquarters - State, Logistics Directorate (J-4), Surface Maintenance Facility in Michigan.

You will perform limited diagnosis, routine repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, assist higher graded mechanics, conduct PMCS, and maintain parts and tools documentation as part of a small shop team.

Responsibilities

• Performs limited diagnosis, routine repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical and automotive vehicles.
• Assists higher graded mechanics in the repair and/or overhaul of major systems to include engines, transmissions, drive lines, hydraulics and controls.
• Conducts limited readiness and repair inspections on vehicles and equipment and performs PMCS.
• May perform routine maintenance on basic communications equipment and minor body repairs; maintains supply documentation for tools and parts.
