Job summary

Hecla Mining Company in Juneau, AK is seeking an experienced E&I Technician, Surface to support electrical and instrumentation systems at surface facilities. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in electrical/instrumentation maintenance, reads schematics, and adheres to safety standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree/tech cert preferred.
Minimum 3 years of electrical/instrumentation maintenance experience, preferably in surface facilities.
Ability to read electrical/instrumentation schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to surface sites in the United States.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment at surface facilities.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, control panels, instrumentation devices, and related components.
Install new electrical and instrumentation equipment per engineering specs and industry standards.
Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to diagnose and resolve issues promptly, minimizing disruptions.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status for compliance and reporting.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability.
