Job summary

Major Drilling America is seeking a Surface Driller to safely operate surface drilling rigs and meet production targets. The role requires technical skill, safety adherence, teamwork, and the ability to work in challenging environments with minimal supervision.

You will drill holes, conduct pre‑operational checks, maintain equipment, regulate drilling parameters, and ensure quality of drilled holes while collaborating with the crew and production teams across sites.

Qualifications

• Hold and maintain valid certifications.
• Prior experience in drilling operations or mining environments preferred.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and mechanical knowledge.
• Current valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain surface drilling rigs and equipment.
• Drill holes to specified depths and diameters per plans and site layouts.
• Perform pre-operational checks, routine maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Ensure drilling quality and monitor progress for production targets.
• Complete logs, reports, and data entries (e.g., BOX app).
• Collaborate with mechanics, drill helpers, and production teams.
• Follow safety rules, take 5 assessments, and maintain clean worksites.
