The Driller is responsible for the recovery and presentation of accurate samples through safe, cost-effective, and professional practices to meet or exceed client expectations. The role involves ensuring all duties are performed in accordance with Major Drilling policies, procedures, and practices.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 2-year experience as a driller operator.
- Commitment to working safely and ensuring co-worker safety.
- At least 18 years old.
- Consistent application of sound drilling practices and techniques.
- Understanding of the drilling program to ensure successful project completion.
- Ability to train and supervise employees in equipment care and safe work procedures.
- Current, registered driver’s license with no major infractions in the last three years.
- Physically fit and able to pass a fit-for-duty test.
- Ability to pass a pre-hire drug test.
- Preference for outdoor work and adaptability to a nomadic lifestyle.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a small team environment.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (day or night) in various climatic conditions for extended periods.
- Willingness to complete scheduled work rotations unless approved by management.
- Mechanical aptitude with skills in operating and maintaining machinery.
- Ability to prepare paperwork including daily reports and equipment & site inspections.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Work schedule: 14 & 7 / 20 & 10 / 28 & 14 days rotations.
Compensation: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour.
