Job summary

Universal Shield Insurance Group in Michigan seeks a Surety Administrative Representative to provide administrative and operational support to the Bail and Surety Divisions within a Property & Casualty insurance environment. You will process production reports, reconcile escrow funds, and maintain agency records with high accuracy.

Collaboration with Underwriting, Accounting, Compliance and other internal partners is required to ensure timely transactions and strong record retention.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience in Property & Casualty insurance, surety, or financial services preferred.
• Experience with financial transactions, account reconciliation, or production reporting desired.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process production reports by entering and reconciling information and maintaining records to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Review completed agent production reports and accounts for accuracy; follow up on discrepancies.
• Administer bond power inventory including issuance, tracking, reconciliation, and accountability.
• Provide customer service and administrative support to agents, researching and resolving routine issues.
• Produce cancellation notices, handle mailings, record transactions in company software, and monitor notices.
• Support internal controls, procedures, and record-retention requirements for the Surety Division.
