The Assessment Counselor/Coordinator conducts clinical evaluations and admissions for the Intensive Outpatient Program also referred to as “IOP”. This position is the initial contact for patients and referral sources, providing clinical assessment and determination of ongoing clinical needs. The Counselor provides telephonic risk assessment and in-person clinical assessment. The Counselor also determines appropriate level of care by consulting with the hospital psychiatrist to determine disposition. If patient is admitted to the outpatient program, the Counselor facilities the admission process and provides appropriate clinical information for ongoing treatment.
