Qualifications

• MS in Nursing is required.
• NP Certification in NYS is preferred/required to practice.
• RN license in NYS is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and assess acute illnesses and minor injuries; perform physicals and implement treatment plans; monitor responses for acute and chronic conditions; order appropriate diagnostics.
• Prescribe medications, perform minor procedures and coordinate treatment; educate patients and families; refer to specialists as needed.
• Maintain patient charts, coding/billing and complete required documents.

STATUS: Full-Time LOCATION: Unity Hospital DEPARTMENT: Inpatient Medicine SCHEDULE: Day/Evening/Night Rotating 12 Hour Shifts

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnosis. Assess and diagnose acute illnesses and minor injuries; perform physicals and implement treatment plan; monitor response for acute and chronic medical conditions; select and order appropriate diagnostic and health maintenance procedures.
• Treatment. Prescribe medication, perform minor procedures and coordinate treatment; provide health education and guidance regarding treatment; communicate with, and counsel family members; recommend community resources and refer patients to collaborating physician or specialist.
• Administrative Assistance. Perform administrative responsibilities such as updating patient charts, billing codes and completing required documents from outside agencies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision‑making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask‑fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. Any physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee’s physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations.

PAY RANGE: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00

CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14626 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
