Catholic Charities Disabilities Services in New York is seeking a dedicated Supportive Health Assistant to support residents' health needs under nursing supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid NYS driver’s license, and at least 2 years of Direct Support Professional experience in the I/DD field; you will coordinate with nurses, doctors, and program staff, and provide direct support as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Direct Support Professional in the I/DD field.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Nurse Manager, RNs and LPNs with health care needs in the Residential Program.
• Maintain communication with Program staff, providers, nurses, doctors, ER staff, case management, pharmacies, families and leadership.
• Provide direct health support to individuals served as needed.
• Knowledge of basic medical terms and medication administration.
