Job summary

VPI is seeking an on-site specialist to train clients in transition programs, adapt job tasks to client abilities, and supervise with a focus on independence and skill development. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with individuals with varying abilities preferred.
• Flexible hours to meet client and employer needs.
• Ability to cover client duties in their absence to ensure training continuity.
• Must have a valid Wisconsin driver's license and insurance.
• Reliable transportation to travel to workplaces.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work professionally with clients, employers, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site training to clients enrolled in transition programs.
• Modify jobs as needed to fit client abilities and workplace requirements.
• Provide supportive supervision to promote independence and skill development.
• Foster positive communication and relationships between clients and coworkers/employers.
• Serve as a positive role model with appropriate work behaviors and expectations.
• May perform client job tasks briefly to ensure continuity of training.
• Conduct on-site evaluations of client performance and provide feedback.
• Assist in maintaining records of client progress and employment outcomes.
• Arrange or provide transportation to employment sites as directed.
• Accept other duties as assigned.
