Job summary

Dimensions is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker in Weymouth to empower two young men and one young woman with learning disabilities to live life their way, with confidence, choice and plenty of fun.

This lone night role focuses on safety, comfort, and recording information to support tailored care plans, while building a therapeutic atmosphere and night-time wellbeing.

  • Carrying out regular “keeping safe checks” to ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable.
  • Maintaining a clean, hygienic space so that the environment is welcoming and safe.
  • Recording important information using our easy-to-use IT systems - from support plans to health and safety logs - so we can provide the best care possible.
  • Creating a therapeutic, reassuring atmosphere that promotes wellbeing throughout the night.
  • Supporting people to enjoy their late evenings or nights in ways that matter to them.
  • Providing personal care when needed, always with dignity and respect.

About the role

This is a lone working Waking Night role. You'll be supporting two young men and one young woman, all in their late teens to mid-twenties, who share a warm and welcoming home in Weymouth. They each have learning disabilities and are looking for Support Workers who will empower them to live life their way — with confidence, choice, and plenty of fun.

Your role will include:
