Job summary

Norwood is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join our team, supporting adults with complex needs in a residential setting. You will deliver person-centred care and build trusting relationships with the people you support.

This role focuses on enabling independence, dignity and meaningful activity, with opportunities to work closely with a Physical Activity Practitioner and assist in hydrotherapy. A warm, welcoming home environment awaits.

• Encourage independence through life skills like budgeting, shopping and social outings
• Help people enjoy hobbies and interests: swimming, music, arts and outdoor activities
• Accompany residents to health appointments and trips out
• Work closely with our Physical Activity Practitioner, including in the hydrotherapy pool
• Contribute to household tasks and maintain a welcoming home environment
• Use a range of communication methods (Makaton, objects of reference, expressions)
• Drive the home vehicle for activities and appointments (only, if you’re a driver)
