Job summary

Protea Care Homes (Kent) Ltd is seeking a dedicated support worker to help adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs live independently and safely. You will assist with daily living, encourage choice, and support access to community activities, health appointments, and personal care as needed.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in learning disabilities/mental health.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with daily living and maintaining their home.
• Encouraging independence, choice, and decision-making.
• Assisting with personal care where required which may include toileting and bathing.
• Supporting access to community, social, and leisure activities.
• Assisting with health needs, including medication and appointments.
• Keeping accurate records and working collaboratively with others.
• Promoting wellbeing, safety, and dignity at all times.
• Support people with their finances, where necessary, and in line with the company policy.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
