Job summary

Dimensions is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join the team supporting Ben in Lincoln. The role covers personal care, meal support, medication administration, and maintaining a clean, safe home environment for an older gentleman living with dementia and sight impairment.

You will use a calm, patient approach and clear communication to help Ben stay connected with his local community. The position offers 21.75 hours per week at £13.45 per hour plus £50 per sleep-in, with shift patterns

Qualifications

• Patient, calm, and reassuring, especially during periods of anxiety.
• A clear and confident communicator, able to offer gentle guidance.
• Interested in conversation, especially about local history, music, or aircraft (or happy to learn!)
• Reliable and values-led, with a genuine commitment to great support.

Responsibilities

• Support Ben with daily living activities, including personal care, medication, eating and drinking, and home upkeep.
• Encourage healthy choices, assist with menu planning and keep him active in the community.
• Provide calm, patient, and clear communication to ensure comfort and safety.
