Job summary

CareTech is recruiting Support Workers to join our Edgerton Grove service in Bradford, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. This role offers rota-based shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.

You will deliver person-centred support, assist with daily living skills, promote independence, and maintain records as part of a friendly team. DBS check required; enhanced DBS paid for by CareTech.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care environment with challenging behaviour preferred.
• Willingness to work towards a health and social qualification.
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)

About the Service – Edgerton Grove

Edgerton Grove is three studio flats which provides care and support for up to 3 people with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorder, mentla health, complex and challenging behaviour who enjoy a wide range of hobbies from Bowling and Swimming to Dance and Music.,

There is easy access to public transport and it is close to local shops.

Service User Interests

The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including:

• Arts and crafts
• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
• Holidays and short breaks
• Walks in the local park and community
• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

You will:

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
