This position interfaces directly with end users to provide support for company owned personal computer equipment in a timely and user-friendly manner.
Major Responsibilities and Authority
- Install end user facing devices and equipment.
- Install, configure, and update software.
- Basic network support.
- Troubleshoot equipment and software.
- Communicate with vendors as needed.
- Assist with recommendations for improvements to procedures.
- Complete all training and assignments in a timely and effective manner.
- Apply departmental standards and procedures to all assignments.
- Report status on assigned projects.
- Function effectively as a team member.
- Provide after-hours help as needed.
- Provide support to meetings/conferences.
- Asset management.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Position Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in a computer related field from an accredited school and foundational experience in a computer related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and iOS software, Intel platform, basic networking, and security understanding.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
- Ability and willingness to learn and extend skills.
- Must have and maintain “system expert status” of a least one critical application or obtain within one year of employment.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record at the time of hire which would not place the employee on probation, or disqualify the employee from Certified Fleet Operator Status, under the Company Driving and Safety Policy.
Physical Requirements
- Occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
- Repeated use of PC, telephone, and office machines.
- Extended periods of sitting and concentration.
- Occasional bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, and reaching in an office environment.
Working Conditions
- Occasionally work long, irregular hours.
- Provide after-hours problem resolution when required.
- Travel as required.
- Work to be conducted in office environment owned or leased by company.
