Job summary

Vector Security is seeking a Support Technician in Columbus, OH / On the Road. You will assist experienced technicians with installations and servicing for residential and commercial customers, while learning the industry through management and a structured training curriculum.

You should communicate professionally to deliver superior customer service and understand the technical functionality of systems; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent - required.
• No industry experience required; willing to learn via training from management and peers.
• Must communicate professionally to provide superior customer service.
• Must understand technical functionality of systems learned online or hands-on.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

Summary:

As a Support Technician, you will assist more senior technicians with installations and/or servicing of residential and/or commercial customers as required. Responsibilities also include a willingness and ability to learn, organizational skills and effective communications.

Responsibilities:

• Assist experienced technicians with installations and/or servicing:
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn and retain information for future use.
  • Employ basic logic skills and ability to walk through a simple issue to resolution.
  • Utilize hand tools and basic power tools.
  • Keep job site clean & organized so work can be performed in the safest manner possible, and tools and equipment can be found quickly.
  • Interact with and communicate with peers, manager, and customers effectively.

Qualifications:

• HS diploma or equivalent - required.
• No industry experience is required. However, you need to have the desire to learn our industry via training opportunities from management, peers, and our training curriculum.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with various individuals in a professional manner in order to provide superior customer service.
• Must be able to understand technical functionality of various systems learned on-line and/or via hands-on instruction.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
