Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids seeks a Support Services Technician to contribute to patient care by working across Environmental Services, Nutrition Services, Reception, Patient Transport, and Supply Chain.

You will collaborate with hospital staff to deliver a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, greet visitors and patients, and assist with navigation throughout the hospital. This is a full-time day-shift role with a strong emphasis on teamwork and service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Customer service experience or related exposure.

Job Summary

Essential Functions

Refer to the job description of the role being performed, including using the associated technology. Communicates effectively with all hospital staff, visitors, patients/residents to ensure the highest level of customer service and care for for our patients/residents. This position is part of the patient care team and will create a positive impact on the patient's experience by providing a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment. Greets, communicates with and assists visitors, staff and/or patients in navigating through the hospital to reach their destination. Completes special projects as assigned, with specific direction.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or Equivalent 1 year of relevant experience Customer service and/or other related experience.

Preferred

• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Patient Transport 90 Days preferred
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Patient Transport 90 Days preferred
• CRT-Accredited Food Handler - ANSI National Accreditation Board ANSI National Accreditation Board 90 Days preferred
• And CRT-Accredited Food Allergy Certificate - ANSI National Accreditation Board ANSI National Accreditation Board 90 Days preferred
• And CRT-Accredited Food Protection Manager, CFP - ANSI National Accreditation Board ANSI National Accreditation Board 90 Days preferred
