US-Defense-Logistics-Agency seeks candidates for a GS-11 level administrative/management position. The role emphasizes analysis, evaluation, and development of policies and procedures to support an organizational mission.
Experience includes office management, coordination of subordinate processes, and supervision of support services within a distribution/office environment. Emphasis on compliance and organizational efficiency.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also qualifying for grade level GS-11 for which both education and experience are acceptable and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total 2 qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grade GS-11.
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions. Work is performed in an office type setting where the work area provides adequate light, heat, and ventilation or in an industrial environment where lighting may be limited, temperatures may vary and ventilation can be poor; however, research and reviews will require frequent visits into warehouse and operational areas of the Distribution Center. These industrial areas include warehouses, secured areas, outdoor spaces, and warehouse areas with mechanized material handling equipment. Some exposure to weather, dust and noise is likely during reviews.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
