Job summary

Alverno Laboratories is seeking a part-time Central Laboratory - Support Service staff member for the 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM night shift in Hammond, IN. The role focuses on meeting technical department TAT and Quality requirements, troubleshooting pending specimens, and performing add-on testing while upholding a caring, healing environment in line with Catholic health principles.

• Background in medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology, and/or billing and coding are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meeting the technical departments TAT and Quality requirements.
• Resolve/troubleshoot pending specimens, completing add-on testing, and resolving any specimen rejections.

This individual is responsible for resolving/troubleshooting pending specimens, completing add-on testing, and resolving any specimen rejections. This individual shall maintain a healing environment for employees and patients with a spirit of caring and concern as incorporated in the philosophy of our Catholic healthcare systems while performing all job functions.
