Job summary

Alverno Laboratories is seeking a part-time Central Laboratory - Support Service staff member for the 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM night shift in Hammond, IN. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
• 10-key typing experience required; computer experience required.
• Background in medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology, and/or billing and coding are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meeting the technical departments TAT and Quality requirements.
• Resolve/troubleshoot pending specimens, completing add-on testing, and resolving any specimen rejections.
• Maintain a healing environment for employees and patients with a spirit of caring and concern as incorporated in the philosophy of our Catholic healthcare systems.
