Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery is seeking a Support Route Driver to fill in on open routes and support daily delivery operations. The role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules while maintaining safety and service standards.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday from 7:30 AM, with 10–15 hours of overtime per week and overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours. Starting wage ranges from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards.
• DOT physical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
