Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges in achieving personal goals and living independently.

You will provide compassionate care, help with daily activities, and accompany clients to appointments while advocating for their rights. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required, with preferred healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Willing to learn and adapt, with physical and emotional resilience.
• Preferred: 1–2 years of healthcare or social services experience; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care to help individuals meet personal goals and live independently.
• Create a safe, respectful environment that upholds individuals’ rights.
• Assist with meals, housecleaning, and daily living activities.
• Transport individuals to appointments and advocate on their behalf.
• Administer medications accurately and supervise daily activities.
• Support personal care, life skills, and social engagement.
• Remain available for 24/7 care when necessary.
