Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautical Systems (NGAS) seeks a Support Equipment Design Engineering Manager 2 in Melbourne, FL. Lead design, manufacturing, testing and sell-off of Peculiar and Common Support Equipment for an aircraft program.

You will build a team to deliver solutions aligned with program requirements, manage schedules and budgets, and coordinate with suppliers and customers across multiple work packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, tech, engineering, or math with significant experience.
• Experience leading mechanical/electrical design, manufacturing and test.
• Familiarity with proposal and estimating processes.
• Knowledge of IPT/Program Management processes (CAM, EVMS, planning, scheduling).
• Ability to obtain and maintain US government clearances.

Responsibilities

• Manage design concepts and lead reviews.
• Mentor test documentation development.
• Oversee integration, validation and verification activities.
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers for alignment.
• Develop program schedules and budgets; manage EVM.
• Provide detailed reporting to leadership.
