• Background in production environments with enterprise software packages.
• Ability to rapidly shift roles in a high-paced setting.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Capable of safely lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Clear verbal and written communication; detail oriented.
• Must have US work authorization (Citizen/National/GC/Asylee/Refugee).

Responsibilities

• Build propulsion system assemblies and subassemblies per customer requests.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document calibration and maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement like inventory management and tool control.
• Occasional involvement in building test stations and equipment.
• Adapt to schedule changes and respond to emergencies.
• Support processes and review outputs for quality and compliance.
• Participate in daily team meetings and shift reporting.
• Uphold safety standards and SOP adherence.
• Build and test subsystems following blueprints and work instructions.

Job description

Title: Support Engineer III

Location: Redmond, WA

Duration: 6 months

Compensation: $30 - $35

Work Requirements: US Citizen and GC Holders

Summary

• Build development focused on Propulsion system assemblies and subassemblies as requested by customers
• Adhere to the labs quality control policies, document all quality control activities, conduct instrument and procedural calibrations and all required maintenance
• Participate in development and execution of continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. inventory management, tool control and calibration schedules)
• Occasional support in building test stations and equipment
• Adapt to unexpected schedule changes and respond to emergency situation
• Support process work and review output for quality and adherence to standards and procedures
• Participate in daily team meetings, end-of-shift reporting, and coordinating efforts to minimize production interruptions.
• Support safety standards and operations protocol while ensuring team compliance.
• Build and test sub systems following blueprints and work instructions for daily rate delivery

Must-Have Skills

• Able to read, interpret and work from engineering documentation and/ or drawings
• Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
• Experience working in a production environment with enterprise software packages
• Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• U.S. work authorization meeting Export Control requirements (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, Green Card holder, Refugee, or Asylee)

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent
• Aircraft & Power Plant certification/license, automotive certifications, or other technical certification's/AA's
• 3-5 years relevant aerospace/automotive manufacturing experience or or equivalent industry experience
• 3+ years of relevant hardware testing experience
• 3+ years of hands-on work experience with electronic test equipment such as data acquisition devices, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies
• 3+ years’ experience in a fast-paced production environment with flight hardware
• 3+ years of hand on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices
• Strong verbal/written communication and listening skills
• Experience working in a production environment with SAP/MES software packages
• Experience building up test racks and infrastructure
• Experience with test execution software such as TestStand, LabView, and Python
• Experience working with vacuum and/or pressurized gas systems
