Job summary

INSPYR Solutions in Redmond, WA seeks a Reliability / Product Validation Engineer to own the reliability strategy for research hardware programs, and to coordinate across engineering and research teams onsite.

You will design and execute tests from component to full-system levels, define sample sizes and acceptance criteria, and apply statistical methods to reliability data; collaboration with ME, EE, design, manufacturing, and suppliers is essential.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on reliability, test, or product validation experience in consumer electronics.
  • 5+ years of experience with JMP, Python, MATLAB, or equivalent for reliability/test data analysis.
  • Strong failure analysis and defect-closure experience across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Knowledge of ASTM, MIL, JEDEC, and IEC reliability/test standards.
  • Knowledge of failure-analysis techniques such as optical microscopy, X-Ray, CT, SEM, EDX, and FTIR.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Materials Science, or related field/equivalent experience.
  • On-site availability in Redmond, WA; the position cannot be performed remotely.

  • Leads failure analysis and root-cause investigations, driving defects to closure with ME, EE, design, manufacturing, and supply partners.

Summary

Must-Have Skills

Nice-to-Have Skills
  • 5+ years of 3D CAD modeling, particularly NX or SolidWorks.
  • Mechanical fabrication experience.
  • Experience assembling complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience specifying/integrating instrumentation and motion-control systems, including motors, drivers, encoders, pressure transducers, accelerometers, and flow sensors.
