Job summary

Premier Health Partners invites a Chaplain - Support to join the Spiritual Care team. The role provides spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff, and facilitates worship, pastoral care, and education.

The chaplain will respond to crises, coordinate interfaith outreach, and help with grief processes while maintaining professional, compassionate care within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum level of education: Master's degree
• Type of degree: Theology, spiritual/pastoral care
• Area of study: Divinity, Theology, Pastoral/Spiritual Care
• Preferred: 4 Units CPE

Responsibilities

• Assesses needs and provides patients, family members, and staff with spiritual and emotional support.
• Responds to crises and referrals and supports patients and families facing difficult healthcare decisions.
• Documents spiritual/pastoral support and services provided to patients and families.
• Facilitates the grief process through spiritual/pastoral support, groups, and education.
• Plans, prepares, coordinates, and facilitates prayer and liturgical/ministry opportunities.
• Accomplishes departmental administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
• Serves as a spiritual/pastoral resource to other hospital programs.
• Participates in and helps facilitate support groups and spiritual enrichment and educational programs.
• Communicates and collaborates with faith leaders to enhance pastoral care.
