Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is looking for Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Hilton, Etwall, Hatton, Willington, Repton and surrounding areas in the DE65 region. Roles include EYFS, KS1 and KS2 with day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements.

Immediate November starts, full-time, part-time, and flexible options. Weekly PAYE pay and free accredited CPD are offered, with ongoing support from the Connex Education team.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
• Recent experience in a UK primary school or similar setting.
• Confidence supporting pupils individually and in small groups.
• Good communication skills and a patient, professional approach.
• A reliable and flexible attitude.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and school environments.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.

Connex Education is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Hilton, Etwall, Hatton, Willington, Repton and the wider DE65 area of South Derbyshire.

With schools now back following the October half term, we are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who are available to start work immediately or throughout November, supporting local primary schools for the remainder of the autumn term and beyond.

Whether you are looking for five days a week, a few regular days, or flexible supply work around other commitments, we would like to hear from you.

Opportunities are available across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, including day-to-day cover, short-term assignments and longer-term placements.

The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and school staff to help pupils get the most from their school day.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Helping pupils remain engaged and focused on their learning.
• Supporting positive behaviour within the classroom.
• Working with pupils who may require additional learning or behavioural support.
