Job summary

Abbott in Temecula, CA is seeking a Manager, Supply Optimization to maximize product availability and optimize inventory across the long-term planning horizon. The role influences finance, R&D, marketing, and operations to develop network strategies and mitigate supply risks.

Reporting to the Sr Supply Chain Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams, manage an assigned product scope, align monthly forecasts with demand planning, and drive inventory reduction across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Management required.
• Minimum 8+ years of related work experience in supply chain.
• SAP Medical Device experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
• Compliance: Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures & contracts.
• Strategy: Collaborate with business units & external third party providers to identify and document key assumptions that could impact the supply network and develop strategies for efficient response to changes.
• Performance: Provides guidance and direction to teammates to ensure consistent execution to and escalation of deviations from, agreed strategies.
• Financial: Accurate projection and reduction of Distressed Inventory (Excess & Obsolescence). Develops plans for Plan, LBE and LRP packages.
• Service: Maximizing customer experience through product availability.
• Inventory: Reduction of AV inventory to reduce capital, Standards Revision Variance (SRV) and distressed Inventory impact on the AV P&L.
• Analysis: Develops tools to test the cost, flexibility and efficiency of the network.
