Position Title: Supply & Inventory Planner

Location: Remote, USA

Position Overview

A Supply & Inventory Planner is responsible for managing inventory to ensure optimal levels and raw materials at all H.B. Fuller sites. This role involves effective management of business processes to continually improve inventory planning. The planner oversees materials and packaging across multiple plants and warehouses.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop raw material requirements plans to minimize excess inventory.
  • Present 12-18 month rolling forecasts with insights on future trends.
  • Review production schedules and sales forecasts to ensure raw material availability.
  • Plan medium and long-term capacity to meet demand and key KPIs.
  • Ensure planning parameters within SAP align with inventory and service level goals.
  • Create and review monthly SIOP plans, providing feedback on volumes and capacity.
  • Identify and resolve capacity and material supply chain issues.
  • Monitor execution to plan and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Attend meetings to support Executive SIOP reviews.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels (Finished Goods, Raw Materials, Packaging, WIP) to meet production requirements.
  • Review 'Make-to-Stock' inventory levels to support service targets.
  • Minimize excess and obsolete inventories in coordination with manufacturing and commercial teams.
  • Provide updates to the Sourcing team on changing raw material demand.

Communication and Decision Making

  • Identify and address materials management issues.
  • Maintain and communicate a valid weekly master schedule.

Collaborate with Supply Chain partners to communicate demand changes.

  • Focus on continuous improvement in supply planning processes.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects, including product transfers and new product introductions.
  • Track key KPIs and prepare reports on outputs.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage international/intercompany inventory transfers.
  • Oversee SAP transactions related to inventory movements and stock reconciliations.
  • Analyze forecast and safety stock levels to adjust based on demand trends.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related industry.

Preferred Requirements

  • 2 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in SAP.
  • Experience with Lean methodologies and continuous improvement processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business environments.
