- Assist in the development, implementation and communication of sustained quality and resource-optimized measures during the intraoperative phase
- Advise the management team at the UAMS Health Benton/Bryant location on operational improvement, cost containment, preference card development and supply utilization
- Round daily to communicate with surgeons/staff and obtain updates to preference cards and supply needs
- Collaborate with Clinical Coordinators to maintain and update preference cards and supply needs
- Work with surgery and Supply Chain to identify over- or under-used items and reduce waste from unused or expiring products
- Identify cost-effective materials and supplies and develop and implement change plans with Supply Chain, the OR Director and coordinators
- Facilitate supplier/vendor changes resulting in new or substitute products
- Coordinate new product trials and conversion efforts with Supply Chain, vendors, surgeons and OR staff
- Maintain progress records for core activities, reporting and system-wide improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree OR HS diploma plus 4 years of inventory management experience along with 2 years of experience within a hospital/healthcare environment
- Knowledge of special service area for understanding usage and critical nature
- Sound knowledge of supply chain movement
- Intraoperative clinical experience
- Strong communication skills and leadership abilities
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Subject to pre-employment screening (criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification)
