Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years in supply chain, inventory control, or distribution.
  • Healthcare supply chain experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, handheld scanners, and package-tracking technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management & Restocking: Scan inventory labels to generate replenishment orders and maintain clean rooms and stock areas.
  • Order Fulfillment & Case Carts: Pick supplies for distribution and build surgical Case Carts and Exchange Carts/Crats.
  • Quality & Safety Assurance: Inspect locations for expired items and remove non-compliant products per policy.
  • Distribution & Equipment Handling: Deliver oxygen tanks, equipment, and daily packages with digital tracking.
  • ERP & Systems Administration: Use handheld scanners and ERP systems to process issues, track credits, and log discrepancies.
  • Auditing & Reporting: Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
  • Customer Service & Team Support: Manage service requests and onboard new staff.

Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist

Schedule: Full-Time | 5x8s | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM EST (Monday–Friday, rotating weekends required)

Job Summary

The Supply Chain Specialist plays a critical role in managing clinical inventory, healthcare supply distribution, and order fulfillment across facility departments. This position ensures that nursing units, clinics, and surgical areas are fully stocked with essential, non-expired supplies while maintaining precise inventory tracking and high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management & Restocking: Scan inventory labels to generate replenishment orders for stock and non-stock items. Maintain clean rooms, exchange carts, and supply areas using proper stock rotation protocols.

  • Order Fulfillment & Case Carts: Pick supplies for distribution, build surgical Case Carts, and restock specialized Exchange Carts (including Crash Carts and Procedural Carts/Trays).

  • Quality & Safety Assurance: Inspect supply locations for expired or recalled items, removing non-compliant products immediately according to facility policy. Maintain clean, dust-free par locations.

  • Distribution & Equipment Handling: Deliver oxygen tanks, minor medical equipment, and daily packages to clinical units and outpatient clinics, utilizing digital signature technology for tracking.

  • ERP & Systems Administration: Utilize handheld scanners, package tracking software, and ERP systems to process material issues, track credits, log inventory discrepancies, and ensure accurate cost allocation.

  • Auditing & Reporting: Assist with routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain high data accuracy.

  • Customer Service & Team Support: Manage incoming service requests via phone and email. Assist with onboarding and training new Supply Chain staff. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in supply chain, inventory control, or distribution (healthcare supply chain experience strongly preferred).

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with ERP systems, handheld scanners, and package-tracking technologies.

  • Operational Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize time-sensitive requests, and capability to handle physical inventory movement in a fast-paced environment.
