Job summary

UAMS Health Benton/Bryant location is seeking a Central Supply Associate to manage medical and surgical supplies, inventory, and par levels within a clinical setting.

You will operate automated supply cabinets, perform cycle counts, and ensure accurate stock, delivery, and record-keeping while adhering to healthcare standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months of experience in supply distribution, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on day one.
• Position subject to pre-employment screening (criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification).

Responsibilities

• Handle and dispense medical and surgical supplies in clinical areas.
• Order and fill par levels in automated supply cabinets and bulk rooms.
• Check par areas daily and rotate stock using FIFO.
• Count, manage, and place replenishment orders.
• Staff Central Supply dispatch window and tube system; issue supplies.
• Deliver isolation carts after hours.
• Maintain organized cabinets, carts, shelves, bins, and supply areas.

Job description

• Handle and dispense medical/surgical supplies in clinical areas, supply par, and inventory at the UAMS Health Benton/Bryant location
• Accurately order and completely fill par levels in automated supply cabinets and manually controlled bulk par rooms
• Check par areas daily and as assigned; break down pallets and deliver supplies on carts
• Refill central supply inventory locations and adjust inventory counts
• Count, manage, and place replenishment orders as needed
• Rotate supplies into sterile and non-sterile areas using FIFO when restocking
• Check supplies for package integrity and outdates; remove damaged or outdated supplies
• Perform cycle counts and corrections to ensure accurate inventory counts
• Maintain, organize, label, and clean cabinets, carts, shelves, bins, and supply areas
• Follow through on needed repairs and remove unauthorized, excessive, damaged, or outdated supplies
• Staff the Central Supply dispatch window and tube system; issue and record supplies sent by pickup, delivery, or tube system
• Issue procedural trays and carts and record issuance
• Deliver isolation carts after hours

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Six (6) months of experience in supply distribution, preferably in a healthcare environment
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
• Required documents: List of three Professional References (name, email, business title), Resume
• Position subject to pre-employment screening (criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification)
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs.
• Ability to push and pull 50+ lbs.
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, crawl, crouch, kneel, stoop, reach overhead, use hands, and talk; continuously hear, read, concentrate, and think analytically
• Ability to work inside a medical facility environment with moderate noise and dust hazards
• Color discrimination and near visual acuity
