Tradewind Flight Services is seeking a qualified, full-time Administrative Clerk / MHE Operator to support operations at U.S. Army Logistics Readiness Center Natick, MA. This position provides administrative and material handling operations in support of U.S. military installation requirements. The ideal candidate is dependable with strong organizational skills, administrative expertise, and demonstrated experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in a government or military environment. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the scheduling, workload assignments, and daily activities of administrative and warehouse staff to ensure mission requirements are met on time.
- Perform administrative clerical functions including document preparation, correspondence management, filing, records maintenance, and data entry in government systems.
- Operate a variety of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment in accordance with applicable safety standards and technical procedures.
- Coordinate the receiving, inspection, storage, and distribution of supplies, equipment, and materials in support of military unit operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and logs for all materials received, stored, issued, and transferred; prepare and submit required reports.
- Ensure all personnel adhere to applicable safety regulations, base policies, and contract performance standards; conduct or coordinate required safety briefings and training.
- Interface with government customers, military personnel, and base operations staff professionally and in accordance with contract requirements.
- Report any personnel, equipment, or operational issues to the Program Manager in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager, or designated government representative.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in an administrative, logistics, or warehouse environment.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as forklifts and pallet jacks; current MHE operator certification for variants up to 26K cargo capacity required.
- GCSS-A experience equivalent to WG-07 rank/grade.
- Knowledgeable with transactions T-CODE for receiving, stowing, picking, issuing, posting goods receipts (MIGO), managing storage bins, generating Materiel Release Orders (MROs), and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Prior experience working in a military installation or Department of Defense (DoD) environment strongly preferred.
- Strong administrative and clerical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional, mission-oriented work ethic.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required base access credentials and security clearance as required by the contract.
- Must be physically capable of performing manual labor tasks associated with material handling, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
