Job summary

Mercyhealth is hiring a Supply Chain Technician to manage the timely processing, distribution, and delivery of supplies across the facility. The role requires pulling orders, stocking, and rotating inventory using FIFO/FEFO, with daily dock unloading and equipment transport for patient areas.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and storeroom experience is preferred; driving a Mercy vehicle requires a valid license and clean record. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and more.

Responsibilities

• Picks orders for departments and delivers supplies.
• Restocks shelves and carts with incoming supplies.
• Rotates stock using FIFO/FEFO methods.
• Unloads stock from the dock and confirms accuracy with delivery documents.
• Operates floor jacks and forklifts where appropriate.
• Participates in inventory counts and tracks par levels.
• Transports equipment for patient care areas and returns it to proper locations.
• Enters supply charges in MMIS and ensures accuracy of transactions.

Job description

Overview The Supply Chain Technician is responsible for the timely and accurate processing, distribution, and delivery of supplies throughout the facility. Specific responsibilities may vary based on the technician’s assigned department and operational needs. Performs additional duties as assigned. Schedule: M-F 7am-3:30pm Shift: Day

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Picks orders for departments requesting supplies.
• Packages and delivers supplies to requesting departments.
• Re-stocks shelves, trays, carts, etc. with incoming supplies.
• Utilizes FIFO (First In, First-Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) methods to rotate stock
• Unloads stock daily from the dock, confirming accuracy with delivery document.
• Unpack stock and places on shelves in a timely and efficient manner.
• Safely operate floor jacks (manual and battery) and forklift where appropriate.
• Regularly check supply par levels, outdates and overstock, adjusting stock as needed.
• Assists in determining appropriate floor unit PAR levels.
• Participates in inventory counts.
• Collects and cleans dirty equipment from floor units where appropriate, ensuring its readiness for use.
• Delivers and sets up equipment for patient care areas where appropriate.
• Returns equipment to appropriate location.
• Tracks location of rental equipment and monitors its return to the vendor.
• Transports equipment to Biomed when appropriate.
• Enters patient charges for supplies and equipment where appropriate.
• Verifies accuracy of all supply transactions within MMIS system.
• Maintains a clean and efficient work environment free of hazards.
• Consistently practices good customer service skills.
• Answers telephones and intercom promptly and properly.
• Provide patient and material transport.
• Performs daily receiving, delivery and returns as directed.

Education and/or Experience

High school graduate or equivalent; Storeroom experience is preferred.

Certification/Licensure

• If driving a Mercy vehicle is required, applicant must have a driving record that is insurable under Mercyhealth’s insurance coverage guidelines. Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercy’s HR-01 Fleet Safety Policy. Position is subject to annual driving record background checks per Mercy’s HR-01 Fleet Safety Policy. The Technician must maintain a valid driver’s license. Driving a Mercy vehicle is specifically required in the following departments: Janesville Distribution Center

Pay Range

$18.28 - $26.51
