Job summary

Central Sterilizing Services at the University of Iowa Medical Center is seeking a full-time Support Technician I (Supply Chain Tech I) for first shift. The role covers inventory management, instrument replacement collaboration, and tray optimization across Downtown and North Liberty campuses.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver training to new staff and maintain effective communications with customers and team.
Oversee daily medical-surgical supply chain operations and manage inventory.
Inspect item expiration dates to maintain inventory quality and safety.
Assist nurses to anticipate urgent needs and resolve supply issues.
Maintain par levels and manage ordering, monitoring, and audits.
Address shortages and propose operational improvements to prevent disruptions.
Utilize the hospital electronic supply chain system to track inventory accuracy.
Ensure supplies are available to health care providers when needed to support patient care.
Organize storage areas and ensure efficient tray assembly and space management.
