Job summary

The University of Iowa is seeking a Central Service Tech I to join the College of Dentistry in Iowa City. This entry level position rotates through Instrument Processing and Dental Clinic Dispensaries, with a 8:00am–5:00pm schedule, Monday to Friday.

You will assist with decontamination, sterilization, packaging, and distribution of instruments for multiple clinics, while maintaining safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or 1 year hospital-related experience.
• Ability to perform light to moderate physical tasks, including lifting up to 50–100 lb.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instrument processing and sterilization, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
• Prepare instrument cassettes and trays, and maintain inventory in dispensaries and processing areas.
• Support decontamination, sterile storage, and prep & pack workflows in a fast-paced clinical setting.
