Job summary

Toyota Tsusho America in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to support the end-to-cash cycle. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, basic inventory work, and clear vendor communication to form the backbone of the supply-chain team.

You will manage the full order lifecycle, execute EDI/portal transactions, optimize carrier routing, and monitor KPIs. This position requires attention to detail, Excel proficiency, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Finance,

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in order processing, logistics or inventory management.
• Strong Excel skills focusing on PivotTables and Power Query.
• Experience with EDI/portal transactions and carrier management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full order lifecycle: create, track, and reconcile SO/POs; resolve issues.
• Execute EDI/portal transactions and maintain data integrity.
• Negotiate carrier contracts and monitor vendor performance.
• Reconcile inventory discrepancies and update WMS records.
• Produce KPI dashboards and support compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with Finance on cost-to-serve and margin analysis.

Summary

The Supply Chain Specialist is a collaborative, detail-oriented administrative business support who assists the end-to-cash cycle. The role focuses on accurate data entry, basic inventory work, and vendor communication-forming the foundation of the supply-chain team.

What You'll Do

• Manage the full order lifecycle: create, track, and reconcile SO/POs; resolve 3-way match discrepancies. Resolve pricing & quantity issues, drive root-cause analysis, and approve exceptions.
• Execute EDI/portal transactions; troubleshoot and maintain data integrity. Optimize carrier routing; lead exception management for high-risk shipments. Communicate ETAs & delays; handle inbound/outbound exceptions.
• Negotiate carrier contracts and SLAs; lead vendor scorecards & quarterly reviews. Reconcile inventory discrepancies; drive root-cause actions; update WMS records.
• Manage cycle-count reviews and corrective actions; partner with Finance on cost-to-serve and margin impacts. Escalate exceptions, document performance trends, and represent the function at cross-functional steering committees
• Produce advanced KPI dashboards (OTD, transit time, damage rate). Verify customs & export documentation; support compliance audit readiness. Guide cross-functional teams on transportation strategy; own freight-cost budget and variance analysis.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Need

• High School Diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of progressive experience in order processing, logistics, or inventory management.
• Advanced Excel (PivotTables, Power Query) and dashboard creation.
• Strong understanding of EDI/portal processes, carrier management, and inventory systems. Proven ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
