Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned project leader to oversee cross-functional initiatives tied to DePuy Synthes and external manufacturing partners. You will drive patient safety, quality, and value through strategic programs, governance, and cost improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing/healthcare operations, strong data analytics, and PMP/PMI or FPX certification where possible; travel up to 10% is expected. Join a global, matrixed environment focused on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience; 4 years with Master’s degree; 2 years with Ph.D.
  • Experience in Healthcare Industry: Manufacturing, Distribution, Planning, Procurement, Engineering, or R&D.
  • Project management experience, including developing and implementing processes for new or existing products/process and/or new technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability applying project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and organizational change techniques.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (written, presentation, meeting management, documentation).
  • Experience in a complex matrix organization and achieving results through internal and external partners.

Job description

• Lead projects, issues, strategic programs, and operational excellence initiatives between DePuy Synthes and external manufacturing partners and strategic collaborators
• Lead multifunctional teams executing projects related to Patient Safety, Quality, Compliance, Service, Innovation, Growth, and Value
• Create project business cases and execute strategic projects
• Provide business and technical insights into Value Stream Product Strategy Roadmaps
• Partner with Value Stream Leaders to identify, prioritize, and execute end-to-end supply chain projects
• Lead initiatives for supply chain reliability, quality, compliance, profitability, and cost improvements
• Lead and execute projects according to standard project management guidelines
• Resolve reliability, quality, and compliance issues
• Lead supply continuity improvement and disruption recovery actions
• Support new product execution and integration into base business LCM processes
• Develop GP improvement multi-year roadmaps and continuous cost improvement in GP and COGS
• Ensure project compliance with the Quality System and improve quality and compliance culture
• Develop business partner relationships to align strategic priorities
• Understand business processes, governance, supporting systems, and project and portfolio management tools/templates
• Plan projects, establish team goals, manage resources and capital/expenses, execute communication plans, manage risks and issues, and balance multiple activities

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience (4 years of relevant experience with Master’s degree, 2 years of relevant experience with Ph.D)
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, Planning, Project Management, Procurement, Engineering, or R&D in a Healthcare Industry
  • Project Management experience, including developing and implementing processes for new or existing products/process and/or new technologies
  • Demonstrated ability applying project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and organizational change techniques
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (written, presentation, meeting management, documentation)
  • Experience working in a complex matrix organization and achieving results through internal and external partners
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizing skills
  • Experience in data analytics
  • English (mandatory)
  • Requires up to 10% domestic and international travel
  • Engineering, Science, or a related field preferred
  • Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or a related field preferred
  • Project management methodology certification (e.g., PMP/PMI, FPX) preferred
  • Supply Chain, Operations, and/or Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Familiarity with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and/or Quality preferred
  • Medical Device industry experience is a plus
  • Six Sigma and Lean methodologies experience; certification is a plus
  • Knowledge/experience with master production schedule process, inventory management, supply chain management
  • Experience working in a global environment
  • Understanding of financial processes such as P&L calculation and COGS
