Position Summary

Intuitive Machines is seeking a Supply Chain Program Specialist to support procurement management for our portfolio of complex, strategic programs. This role is primarily focused on the Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) for the SR-1 Freedom Program and serves as the main Supply Chain interface between Buyers/Subcontract Administrators (SCAs), suppliers, Program Management, and the technical teams. The successful candidate will ensure procurement requirements are correctly incorporated into orders, maintain rigorous, detailed schedule tracking across all assigned procurements, engage directly with suppliers to resolve issues as they arise, and deliver clear reporting on cost, schedule, and completion status directly to the Program. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detailed schedule management, and the ability to translate procurement and subcontract activity for the Intuitive Machines program team and NASA.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the dedicated Supply Chain resource for PPE-related procurements on the SR-1 Freedom Program.

Partner with Buyers/Subcontract Administrators to ensure technical, schedule, and contractual requirements are correctly and completely incorporated into procurement packages and purchase orders.

Track and ensure all required orders are executed on schedule.

Maintain detailed, up-to-date schedule tracking for all assigned procurements, identifying schedule risks early and driving mitigation actions.

Attend supplier status calls for major subcontracts and report directly to Program Management.

Partner with the Buyers/SCAs to engage directly with suppliers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues affecting order execution, delivery, or performance.

Manage ongoing supplier relationships for assigned procurements, serving as a consistent point of contact between the program and key suppliers.

Maintain detailed tracking of order status, estimated delivery dates, cost performance, and percent-completion reporting for assigned procurements.

Work proactively with Buyers/SCAs to identify, elevate, and help resolve risks to procurement schedule.

Support (but not own) government property reporting requirements associated with PPE procurements.

Maintain close coordination with Program Management and the technical team to ensure procurement activity aligns with overall program schedule and requirements.

Deliver clear, actionable, and timely status reporting on procurement health, schedule risks, and mitigation plans to program leadership.

Required Qualifications

Must be a US citizen and be willing and able to obtain US Government security clearance.

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Program Management, Business, or a related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

Minimum of 6 years of experience in Supply Chain management, subcontract administration, Program Management, or program controls, ideally within aerospace, defense, or another regulated manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated ability to manage detailed schedules across multiple concurrent procurements, with strong attention to milestone tracking and risk identification.

Experience engaging directly with suppliers to resolve delivery, quality, or performance issues.

Strong understanding of cost reporting and percent-completion (earned value or similar) reporting methods.

Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively with Buyers/SCAs, suppliers, Program Management, and Technical/Engineering teams.

Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding requirements flow-down, order execution accuracy, and schedule fidelity.

Ability to synthesize complex procurement status into clear, actionable reporting for program stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with government contracting/subcontracting, including familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), NASA FAR Supplement (NFS) and Earned-Value Management (EVM).

Experience supporting or coordinating government property reporting/compliance.

Prior experience supporting spacecraft, satellite, or other complex hardware programs.
