Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Supply Chain Operations Associate in Detroit, MI to support the Material Planning & Scheduling function within the Supply Chain Solutions division. The role offers a $50,000 annual salary and a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m.

to 2:30 p.m., with extra hours as needed to meet business needs. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, stock purchase options, and paid holidays with PTO in the first year.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One year or more administrative experience preferred.
• Five years or more relevant experience strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Follow up all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on-time delivery.
• Serve as main contact for all suppliers and manage ship schedules.
• Track critical parts and implement containment plans to avoid line stoppages.
• Coordinate alternative sources of material and spot buys when needed.
• Monitor and arrange truck loads to support schedule variations.
• Review part buffers to meet build requirements.
• Document and manage S and AV code exceptions and related actions.
• Maintain inventory levels in MGO and post adjustments after analysis.
