Job summary

Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. invites students for a paid internship in Supply Chain starting March 2027.

You must be enrolled in a university or in a gap year, study outside the USA, and be available for at least 6 months to contribute to inbound/outbound operations. You will gain hands-on experience in process improvement, KPI reporting, and shop-floor planning across MBUSI's Tuscaloosa and Bibb County sites, with an $18 hourly rate, visa cost coverage, and a $700 monthly housing

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related area, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred Skills: Fluent in English (oral/written); MS Office; analytical/problem solving; team orientation; self-reliance; strong communication and organizational skills; intercultural interest; flexibility; high motivation.
• Optional: Supply Chain Knowledge and Warehouse Management

Responsibilities

• Support Essential Functions related to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Morale.
• Enhance Shop-Floor Management Digital System to monitor and populate KPIs.
• Learn 3 Supply Chain Operations processes in Inbound and Outbound.
• Analytic evaluation of current and future procedures.
• Layout optimization.
• Daily startup meetings; pre-auditing inbound/outbound; KPI prep for weekly/monthly reports; plan and conduct performance tests in production/logistics; track open topics in focus and safety group meetings; update training standards.
