Description

Are you interested in leading high-impact projects and working cross-functionally to deliver top selection and delight end Customers? This is your chance to help build strategic relationships and drive business growth with some of the most influential Consumables Vendors and the AVS Customer Success Manager team. AVS Supply Chain Managers play a critical role in delivering an optimal customer experience by ensuring Amazon has the right product quantities, in the right places, and at the right time. This position involves continuously optimizing operational metrics by working directly with vendors and partner teams. AVS Supply Chain Managers serve as a key point of contact between various internal teams and Vendors and contribute to operational strategy, annual negotiations, and opportunities to reduce cost and waste in the supply chain.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Plan and execute inventory strategies to optimize sales, in-stock rates, turns, and inventory health for owned categories.
  2. Monitor, analyze, and own key performance indicators such as in-stock rate, procurement lead time, fill rate, and inventory turns.
  3. Participate in business reviews for your Vendor(s); identify operational improvement areas and support conversations with recommendations to drive improvement.
  4. Forecast and manage efficient inbound and outbound inventory flows and health, including forecasting, purchasing, and removing unproductive inventory.
  5. Drive root cause analysis/reporting on operational issues, develop action plans, and manage improvements while handling multiple priorities.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams to drive tools and process improvements affecting purchasing and procurement workflows, emphasizing automation of manual tasks.
  7. Interface with Customers and lead strategic recommendations to resolve and improve in-stock issues.
About The Team

The Amazon Vendor Services program offers enrolled Selling Partners services such as a designated Customer Success Manager, strategic business advice, support, supply chain management, and programs, pilots, betas, and advanced coaching. In this role, you will be part of the Consumables team, providing supply chain expertise alongside Account Managers supporting Vendors in categories like Baby, Grocery, Health & Personal Care, Mass Beauty, Pets, and Premium Beauty. The role supports numerous brands, customer segments, and product categories.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or project management
  • 3+ years of Excel experience
  • Experience delivering large, cross-functional, customer-facing products
  • Experience in retail or wholesale business
  • Experience working with complex data sets
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SQL—writing basic scripts to extract data
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • E-Commerce experience
  • Ability to root cause issues and identify scalable solutions analytically
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally to drive results and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
