Job summary

MI Windows and Doors is seeking a Supply Chain Manager in the United States to lead Purchasing, Receiving, and Inventory Management, working with location leadership to ensure material flow aligns with production targets and cost objectives.

You will focus on safety, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to improve on-time delivery and working capital.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in an operations leadership capacity with direct reports.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated career progression.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis.
  • Experience overseeing multiple departments in a made-to-order manufacturing setting; knowledge of inventory replenishment methods (Min/Max, Reorder Point, Kanban, MRP).
  • ASCM/APICS certification or Oracle experience advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Drive accountability to a safety-first culture; ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Lead Procurement, Scheduling, and Receiving departments with training and development.
  • Refine processes to reduce costs, increase product quality, and maintain on-time delivery metrics.
  • Develop strategies to minimize disruptions, optimize inventory, and manage working capital.
  • Implement daily visual management tools to monitor supply chain performance.
  • Analyze inventory turns, shortages, waste, and cycle count deviations to identify improvements.
  • Engage in root cause analysis to address scheduling issues and supply chain problems.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve pricing, quality, and delivery; build strong relationships.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support decision making.

About The Role

The Supply Chain Manager at MI Windows and Doors will play a vital role within the location leadership team, overseeing essential functions such as Purchasing, Receiving, and Inventory Management. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to ensure the seamless flow of materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and optimize supply chain operations. The manager will be responsible for developing and implementing processes that enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with suppliers to improve performance metrics, analyzing supply chain data to identify improvement opportunities, and supporting financial reporting related to supply chain costs. This is a dynamic leadership position suited for a professional committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the role. A minimum of three years in an operations leadership capacity with direct reports is required, along with at least five years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a demonstrated career progression. Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing multiple departments within a made-to-order manufacturing setting, with knowledge of inventory replenishment methods such as Min/Max, Reorder Point, Kanban, and MRP systems. Familiarity with production planning, procurement, and inventory control is highly desirable. Certifications from the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM/APICS) or experience with Oracle systems are considered advantageous but are not mandatory.

  • Engage in root cause analysis and problem-solving to address supply chain and scheduling issues, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve pricing, quality, and delivery performance, fostering strong supplier relationships.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support operational decision-making and meet location management requirements.
